Washington Summit created enabling environment for lasting peace in region: Azerbaijani PM

The Washington Summit, held on August 8, 2025, with the participation of the leaders of Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia, has created an enabling environment for shaping a new geopolitical reality and ensuring lasting peace and development in the region, said Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, while addressing the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 13, AZERTAC reported.

The prime minister described the establishment of the Trump International Route for Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) as one of the significant milestones of the summit.

According to him, this multimodal route will ensure unhindered passage between Azerbaijan’s mainland and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, while also contributing to the diversification of international transport and transit communications passing through the country.
