UK delivers quarter of pledged drones to Ukraine

The UK has delivered more than 25,000 drones to Ukraine as part of its commitment to provide 120,000 drones to the country this year.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, UK Defense Secretary Wes Streeting announced the figure while opening a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format.

Streeting said the UK was making significant progress in meeting the drone delivery target and that thousands more drones were expected to arrive soon.

The UK will also continue supplying Ukraine with ammunition for heavy artillery. The defense secretary said tens of thousands of additional rounds would be delivered in the near future, financed by Germany, Denmark, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Germany, meanwhile, plans to increase its military assistance to Ukraine, including the delivery of PAC-2 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. Berlin also intends to continue supplying Kyiv with drones and long-range munitions.
