SOCAR discloses drilling, production, processing and export indicators for Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, SOCAR carried out approximately 13 thousand meters of drilling operations.

During the reporting period, 1.67 million tons of oil and 1.85 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from fields operated independently or with SOCAR as the main shareholder, according to Azerbaijan's energy giant.

Nationwide gas production increased by 0.4% to 12.64 billion cubic meters. Overall, 6.63 million tons of crude oil were produced in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2026.

During the reporting period, SOCAR exported 3.52 million tons of oil to foreign markets. This includes oil volumes produced by the company itself, as well as the profit oil shares of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR from oil produced by international consortia operating in the country.

Nationwide natural gas consumption amounted to 4.76 billion cubic meters, while gas exports increased by 6.9% to 6.5 billion cubic meters.

In the first quarter of the year, SOCAR processed 1.45 million tons of oil and 636 million cubic meters of gas. Oil processing increased by 3.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. More than 394 thousand tons of oil, petrochemical and gas-chemical products produced at SOCAR’s facilities in Azerbaijan were exported to foreign markets.
