PSG edge Bayern and reach Champions League final against Arsenal

Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the UEFA Champions League final after holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw and securing a 6-5 aggregate victory.

PSG booked their place in the final despite conceding late in the second leg of their semifinal clash on Wednesday, as the draw proved enough following their narrow first-leg advantage.

Ousmane Dembélé gave PSG an early lead in the third minute, finishing into the top left corner after a quick exchange between Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Fabián Ruiz in midfield.

Bayern equalised deep into stoppage time with a goal in the 90+4 minute, but the German side were unable to overturn the aggregate score, as PSG progressed 6-5 overall following last week’s 5-4 victory in Paris.

The visitors had earlier appealed for possible handball decisions involving Nuno Mendes and João Neves, while Jonathan Tah came close before halftime with a header that went wide of the post.

PSG will now face Arsenal in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30, after the English side eliminated Atlético Madrid in the other semifinal.
