Non-oil sector drives Azerbaijan’s early 2026 growth

In January–February 2026, Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.3 percent year-on-year, reaching 18 billion 473.1 million manats.

According to the State Statistical Committee, the oil and gas sector’s value added fell by 1.7 percent, while the non-oil and gas sector rose by 1.4 percent.

Sector contributions to GDP included: industry – 32.7%, trade and vehicle repair – 11.4%, transport and warehousing – 7.5%, construction – 3.9%, and agriculture, forestry, and fishing – 3.2%. Tourist accommodation and public catering contributed 2.8%, information and communication 2.1%, and other sectors 24.1%. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 12.3% of GDP.
