Natural disasters cost France €5.2B in 2025

Natural disasters in France caused an estimated €5.2 billion in damage in 2025, according to France Assureurs.

A large share of the losses was attributed to hailstorms, which accounted for 43% of the total. Such events were recorded on 105 days throughout the year.

In addition, damage from the Nils and Pedro storms was estimated at €1.1 billion.
