Abbasov praised the professionalism, dedication, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by journalists, emphasizing that their efforts make a significant contribution to raising global awareness. According to him, journalism requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility, as well as the ability to work under intense pressure and make timely decisions, according to AZERTAC.

He noted that over the past three years, the Baku Initiative Group has made significant progress in raising international awareness of the consequences of colonialism and the importance of the decolonization process. According to him, the media has played a particularly crucial role in these efforts.

“We commend your efforts and dedication in raising public awareness and drawing the attention of societies to these issues,” Abbas Abbasov emphasized.

The Executive Director also noted that the conference will feature two panel discussions dedicated to the topic of decolonization.
