Kazakh FM briefed on drone attack on Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan

On March 5, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev held a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the call, Minister Bayramov emphasized that the drone strikes on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from Iranian territory, which caused damage to civilian infrastructure and injured individuals, constitute a violation of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

Azerbaijan informed Kazakhstan that it expects the Islamic Republic of Iran to clarify the situation, provide an explanation, offer an apology, and take urgent measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
