According to the IDF press office, the commander was identified as Abu Dharr Mohammadi. The military described him as a key figure responsible for coordinating military activities between Hezbollah and the IRGC and serving as a liaison with senior Iranian officials.
The IDF said Mohammadi played a central role in strengthening Hezbollah’s missile capabilities and restoring the group’s operational capacity following Operation Northern Arrows. He also oversaw strategic weapons operations and coordinated attacks on Israeli territory during the operations Northern Arrows and Roaring Lion.
The Israeli military stressed that it will continue taking decisive action against Hezbollah to ensure the security of Israeli citizens.
