Addressing the event prior to the presentation, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said that Azerbaijan is a fully-fledged member of the D-8 family.
“This platform is of great importance in terms of global economic cooperation, and we attach special importance to the organization's activities. President Ilham Aliyev has welcomed the initiative to establish the D-8 Media Excellence Center, as well as the Transport and Energy Excellence Center, in Azerbaijan. Today, we are already seeing the first results of that initiative," Hajiyev said.
The Assistant to the President stressed that the D-8 Media Excellence Center is an important platform for expanding media cooperation among the member states.
Speaking at the event, Secretary-General of the Developing-8 (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation, Ambassador Sohail Mahmood, expressed his gratitude to all the D-8 member states for their efforts to develop this initiative.
In his remarks, Fuad Mardiyev, Director General of the Media Excellence Hub, provided detailed information on the strategy, noting that its primary goal is to enhance media cooperation among the member states, promote professional development, research, and innovation, while establishing a unified platform for media collaboration.
The event was moderated by political scientist Ulviyya Zulfikar.
