China places 14 EU entities under new export restrictions

China has placed 14 organizations from the European Union on its export control list, according to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

The ministry said the measure prevents Chinese exporters from supplying dual-use goods to the listed organizations. It also bans overseas organizations and individuals from transferring or providing Chinese-origin dual-use items to those entities.

The organizations added to the list include Lafert S.p.A., Rheinmetall AG, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Wroclawska), and Opticoelectron Group, among others.

The ministry did not provide further details on the reasons behind the restrictions.
