Baku Metro eyes purchasing up to 300 wagons from Stadler Rail

Vusal Aslanov, Chairman of Baku Metro CJSC, part of AZCON Holding, met with a delegation led by Peter Spuhler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Stadler Rail Group.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the 2025–2030 State Program aimed at improving transport infrastructure in Baku and its surrounding areas, as well as plans to purchase up to 300 new wagons featuring minimal operating costs.

Peter Spuhler briefed Vusal Aslanov on projects and innovative technologies developed by the Stadler Rail Group and implemented in various countries, expressing the company’s readiness to share this expertise with Baku Metro.
