Azerbaijan sees continued decline in external public debt

As of April 1, 2026, Azerbaijan’s external public debt stood at $4.689.3 billion, marking a 7.5% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Committee, AZERTAC reports.

The reported figure indicates a continued reduction in the country’s external debt burden over the past year, based on official statistical data.
