Azerbaijan, Huawei seek to expand technological cooperation

Azerbaijan and Huawei Technology have discussed opportunities to cooperate in establishing local research and development (R&D) centers.

The issue was discussed during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Huawei Technology Senior Vice President Phillip Gan.

The sides exchanged views on measures being implemented in Azerbaijan to develop the digital economy, introduce innovative technologies and promote the green transformation.

The meeting also focused on expanding investment opportunities, facilitating technology transfer, developing human capital, creating digital and green solutions, and applying them across different sectors of the economy.

The parties also discussed identifying new areas of cooperation in these fields.
