Azerbaijan evacuates its diplomats from Iran

Azerbaijani diplomats have been evacuated from Iran.

Employees of the country’s diplomatic mission in Iran crossed the border and safely entered Azerbaijan through the Astara state border checkpoint, according to local media.

The evacuation process was conducted following the completion of relevant document checks, registration, and other procedures, with all necessary measures taken at the border crossing point to ensure safe passage.

After the registration procedures, the evacuees were safely dispatched to their destinations.

The evacuation process at the Astara state border checkpoint continues without interruption, with crossings being carried out in accordance with relevant procedures under the supervision of the competent authorities.
