At least 4 killed in Indonesia train-car collision

A train collided with a car in Central Java province on Friday, killing four people, including two children, Indonesian police said, according to Xinhua.

In a statement, local police said the accident occurred at a level crossing. Due to thick fog at the scene, the driver of the car failed to see the approaching train, leading to the collision.

Traffic accidents are relatively common in Indonesia due to factors such as inadequate road infrastructure and traffic violations.

On Monday night, a train collision in Bekasi, West Java province, killed 16 people and injured more than 80 others.
