At least 15 killed, dozens injured in blast near mosque in Pakistan

At least 15 people were killed in an explosion near a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

According to The News Pakistan, the blast occurred during Friday prayers.

It was noted that 15 bodies and more than 50 injured people were brought to the hospital.

Police reported that a crater formed near the mosque as a result of the explosion, and among the victims were police officers.

Rescue services stated that the outer part of the mosque was severely damaged and a wall collapsed. Rescue operations at the scene are ongoing.

An emergency regime has been declared at the Kohat District Hospital.
