During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the development of football in Azerbaijan, including ongoing efforts to increase the sport’s popularity, expand youth football programs, and advance football-related infrastructure projects across the country. Potential areas of cooperation between Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and FIFA were also reviewed.
The talks additionally addressed preparations for the FIFA U-20 Men's World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027, along with other issues of mutual interest.
