Azerbaijan and China deepen strategic partnership

As part of his official visit to Beijing, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held an expanded-format meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

The meeting followed the bilateral talks between the two ministers, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.

The ministers reviewed the current state and future prospects of the Azerbaijan–China comprehensive strategic partnership, emphasizing the importance of high-level political dialogue and regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Discussions covered the deepening of economic and trade cooperation, investment opportunities, connectivity and transport corridors, energy cooperation, as well as collaboration in innovation and digital development.

The sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, underlining the value of cooperation within multilateral frameworks.

Both ministers expressed confidence that this visit would further contribute to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding practical cooperation across multiple sectors.
