Six trapped after avalanche hits mine in Russia's Buryatia Republic

Six people are believed to be trapped after an avalanche struck a mining site in Russia's Republic of Buryatia, emergency services said Tuesday, Xinhua reported.

The incident occurred at the Irokinda mine in the Muysky district, where nine workers were clearing a road, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
