Gold and silver retreat amid market pressure

Gold and silver prices declined on global markets, reflecting downward pressure on precious metals, according to trading data.

On the COMEX in New York, the price of one troy ounce of gold dropped by $56.70 to $4,839.50.

Silver also saw a notable decrease, falling by $2.61 to trade at $74.99 per ounce.
