G7, GCC to meet on Strait of Hormuz situation

The G7 countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are set to hold a meeting next week to discuss the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The announcement was made by Pascal Confavreux, spokesperson for France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a briefing, according to French media.

He stated that preparations are currently underway for the meeting, which will bring together G7 member states and the GCC to address developments in the strategically important waterway.
