Azerbaijan's external public debt amounted to 6.3 % GDP

As of January 1, 2026, external public debt amounted to 4 billion 813.5 million dollars, or 6.3 percent of the projected GDP of 129 billion 94 million manats ($75 billion 937.006 million) for 2025, AZERTAC reported.

According to the Ministry of Finance, external public debt decreased by 316.2 million dollars or 6.2% compared to the beginning of 2025.

As of January 1, 2026, the ratio of external public debt to GDP declined by 0.6 percentage points compared to the beginning of 2025.
