Azerbaijan, Egypt eye expanding energy cooperation

Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Egyptian Ambassador Houssam-Eldine Reda.

The meeting highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits by the heads of state and the agreements reached in strengthening ties between the two countries, according to the Energy Ministry.

Egypt’s interest in expanding large-scale energy cooperation with Azerbaijan was highlighted, with the signing of a framework agreement between SOCAR and EGPC welcomed as a significant step.

The sides also discussed renewable energy cooperation with Elsewedy Electric S.A.E.

In addition, the Egyptian side was invited to participate with a large delegation in the events to be held within the framework of Baku Energy Week.
