Ukraine highlights Azerbaijan’s strategic energy role

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Azerbaijan plays a growing and significant role in the region and described its contribution to efforts aimed at ending the war as critically important.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Kyiv, Sybiha described Azerbaijan and Ukraine as strategic partners, according to AZERTAC.

“Azerbaijani companies have consistently maintained an active presence in Ukraine, and we seek to further broaden this engagement. We have developed a package of proposals for our Azerbaijani partners,” he said.

Sybiha noted that Ukraine is interested in diversifying its energy supply sources, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s strategic importance in this regard.

“From an energy security perspective, Azerbaijan holds strategic importance for the entire European continent, including Ukraine. We are actively advancing this cooperation, and I am confident that it will yield substantial outcomes,” he said.
