Türkiye joins NASA's Artemis Accords

Türkiye has joined NASA’s Artemis Accords, according to Türkiye newspaper.

The document was signed at NASA headquarters in Washington by Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. With the signing, Türkiye became the 71st country to join the initiative.

Launched in 2020 by NASA and the US Department of State, the Artemis Accords establish a set of principles governing civil and peaceful activities in space.

By joining the accords, participating countries commit to following agreed rules of conduct and cooperation in the exploration of the Moon and other celestial bodies.
