Peru's Fujimori plans Japan visit following APEC summit

Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori, who has Japanese roots, is planning to visit Japan in November, according to Japanese media outlets.

Fujimori, who took office last month, is considering the trip after attending the two-day Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen, China, which will run until November 19.

Fujimori is seeking to strengthen bilateral ties by choosing Japan as one of her first overseas destinations.
