Oil prices jump as US-Iran strikes fuel market tensions

Brent crude oil futures on London’s ICE exchange rose by more than 2.9%, with the surge coming after reciprocal strikes between the United States and Iran in the Middle East, according to trading data.

Brent November futures climbed to $90.69 per barrel, up 2.94%, during trading.

The price later eased slightly, with Brent trading at $90.46 per barrel, up 2.68%.

Meanwhile, WTI October futures gained 2.34% to reach $85.35 per barrel.
