Minibus explosion near Damascus kills two, injures 13

Two people were killed and 13 others injured in an explosion inside a minibus in the Jaramana suburb of Damascus, according to Syria's Health Ministry.

The ministry's ambulance department said the death toll from the blast had risen to two, while 13 people were confirmed injured.

Earlier reports had said seven people were injured, with no fatalities confirmed at the time.

According to preliminary information, the explosion was caused by an explosive device that detonated inside the minibus in the Jaramana area.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
