Iran warns Gulf states against supporting US military

Iran’s armed forces have warned Gulf states against providing assistance to the U.S. military, saying such support would be considered participation in U.S. military operations, The Times of Israel reported, citing Ali Abdollahi, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces.

“We warn that any assistance or support to the U.S. armed forces will constitute participation in a U.S. military operation,” Abdollahi said.

He added that it appeared unlikely that such a large number of military aircraft, particularly tanker aircraft, could have been stationed at regional bases without the knowledge of the host countries.
