Iran has outlined conditions for allowing the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect its nuclear facilities following a call for access by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.

Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), said the inspections could take place if certain conditions are met, according to ISNA.

Eslami said Grossi must call on the United States and Israel to halt attacks and threats against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities to create the necessary conditions for implementing IAEA safeguards.

Grossi previously said that granting the agency access to Iran’s key nuclear facilities would have positive consequences for Tehran.

The IAEA Board of Governors is currently holding its September meeting, during which Azerbaijan has also delivered a statement.
