Iran executes two men convicted of spying for Mossad

Iran has executed two men convicted of cooperating with Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, and providing classified information during the recent conflict with Israel.

According to Ynet, citing the Iranian news agency Fars, Omid Behzad and Pouria Safut were found guilty of supplying Mossad with coordinates, photographs, and information about Iranian military personnel, police officers, and security facilities.

The death sentences were carried out at dawn after legal proceedings had been completed.

The report said the two men acted as ground agents for Israeli intelligence and carried out assignments as part of a large-scale intelligence operation.

Investigators alleged that Behzad used mapping services, including Google Maps, to identify the locations of facilities and transmit their coordinates through channels linked to Mossad.

Safut was accused of providing information on military and security facilities through a foreign satellite television network, which Tehran claims was used to gather intelligence.
