Drone attack kills five in Russia's Moscow region

Five people were killed and six others were injured in a drone attack on Russia's Moscow region, regional authorities said.

Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov said Russian air defense forces repelled a drone attack early in the morning, Interfax reported.

“The main consequences were recorded in the Chekhov municipal district. Several fires broke out at an industrial site in Novoselki after drones struck the area. According to preliminary information, five people were killed and six others were injured,” Vorobyov wrote on his Max channel.

He said all of the injured are receiving medical treatment.

The attack also damaged an electrical substation and an administrative building, while emergency services continue to work at the scene.
