Baku hosts Media Forum on "Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World"

Organized by the Media and Broadcasting Council, the CICA Media Forum on “Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World” kicked off in Baku on October 1.

Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, delivered President Ilham Aliyev’s address to the forum participants.

The first CICA Media Forum has brought together government representatives of member states, heads of state institutions responsible for media and communications, media managers, and other experts. The forum provides an important platform for sharing diverse perspectives, exchanging experiences, and discussing opportunities for cooperation aimed at strengthening mutual trust across the region.

The forum will also focus on the responsibility of modern media to provide accurate, reliable, and impartial information. This issue has become increasingly important amid the rapidly growing influence of artificial intelligence and social media platforms on the information environment.
