Azerbaijani judokas shine at Skopje Junior European Cup 2026 with seven medals

Azerbaijan’s national judo team delivered an outstanding performance at the Skopje Junior European Cup 2026, held in Skopje, North Macedonia, winning a total of seven medals.

On the final day of the competition, Khadija Gadashova and Davud Namazli claimed gold medals in the -57 kg and -100 kg weight categories, respectively.

Meanwhile, Nargiz Ahmadova and Gulgaz Musayeva (both -48 kg), Ayten Verdiyeva (-57 kg), and Janpolad Aliyev (-100 kg) won bronze medals.

Earlier, Nilgun Rzayeva (-63 kg) added another bronze medal to Azerbaijan’s tally.

With two gold and five bronze medals, Azerbaijan finished third overall among 33 countries.
