Azerbaijan, Armenia discuss peace agenda

Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, held a meeting with Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Alen Simonyan in Bishkek.

"Following the meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Bishkek, discussions on the peace agenda continued with Alen Simonyan," Hajiyev wrote on X.

The meeting took place as part of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Kyrgyzstan to attend the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games and events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Alen Simonyan was appointed Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia in August. He previously served as Speaker of the country's Parliament.
